EXIT —RURAL HOUSING
The Rural Housing bubble, which floated over the county for a brief period in an atmosphere of heated criticism and controversy, has been satisfactorily burst by the: agitations of John Taxpayer at large. Short ancl quick, and in the words of the County Chairman himself, decent interrment has .been afforded the vexed question and now it becomes all parties to write the word ''sealed" over its tomb. During the course of tlie argument there have been occasions when tempers have shown traces of fraying, and in some instances it has been .difficult for the BEACGN to, make letters on the subject to toe the line of press courtesy, but in all cases we have endeavoured to be fair and impartial, at the same time allowing correspondents to freely ventilate their opinions. As in all public .questions, when once settled we know that feeling and possible bitterness will now become things of the past to be replaced by co-operation and tolerance.
