Paroa v Taneatua.

Outstanding bowling by C. Gillam avlio took 9 Avickets for 10 runs, gave Paroa aij easy six pointer against the new Taneatua eleven at Taneatua. The game was an enjoyable one and the new team should mould into a good side with more practise and experience. Taneatua won the toss and batted first, compiling 36 of which Rawson (19) and Mitchell (11 not out) were chief scorers. Gillam bowled seven overs (1 maiden) maintaining an accurate length throughout. Paroa replied with 138 runs for nin? wickets, Cout'cs (34) and Cieland (34) in a sound partnership adding over 60 runs before both were retired. H. Grant (20) also batted well. Todman and Kembie shared the bowling honours with 3 wickets for 37 runs and 3 for 21 respectively. Taneatua's second knock was hardly better than the first 46 runs being the total. J.
