FOREMAN'S REPORT

WORK IN THE BOROUGH PREPARATION FOR ROAD S^UNG The regrading, widening ancl metalling of Haig and Russell Streets is at present being carried out in preparation Tor sealing, stated the Foreman, Mr W. S u Henderson, in his report to the Borough Council. Other road works included the •commencement of the metalling ol' Ramson's Block road and the removal of a substantial dip on the Hillcrest Road. Further Avidening is being undertaken at Hillcrest. Kerbirig and channelling on Sutherland's IBlock is proceeding. The completion of the sealing at the Edgecumbe School was reported, other matters including: Water meters repaired and replaced and new connections made. Heads Park mowed and trees cultivated. Grading, including Muriwai Road to Heads, refuse dump levelling, Colfix repairs, including Methodist tennis courts, carting shingle, crushing :and general.
