COMPLETION AHEAD OF SCHEDULE HARBOUR BOARD THANKS CONTRACTOR AND ENGINEER Resolutions indicating to the contractor, Mr A. Davies, oi' Auckland, the Board's appreciation of the expeditious and workmanlike manner in which the contract had been completed, and of appreciation to the Consulting Engineer, Mr C. H. Brebncr, for his services in planning the supervision, were> passed by the Whakatane Harbour Board at its bimonthly meeting 011 Friday after discussing the completion of the new wharf. Mr Brebner said that the contractor had made a good job of the wharf and had done it in almost record time, about two months under the contract schedule. Good weather had been experienced and everything had run smoothly. Loading banks and ramps were now under construction,
