RUBBISH COLLECTION IN BOROUGH

It is to be hoped that the Rubbish Drive inaugurated by the Borough Council will grow into something resembling a permanent habit. At any rate it is a step in the direction which, citizens have been hopefully directing their gaze for many years past. When His Worship the Mayor threw the subject before open council inviting suggestions our city fathers were unfortunately barren of ideas and the genii hung in the air awaiting instructions, but receiving none.. The rats have however forced the effort now being employed, so perhaps they can be relied upon to push the matter a little further and thus bring about the blessing of a permanent service.
