SUCCESSFUL ONE-DAY TOURNAMENT A most successful one-day tournament Avas hcld'bA 7 the Wliakatane Ladies' "Golf Club on Friday. September 27. The Aveather Avas perfect and the links Avere in excellent order. Though the attendance was not perhaps as large as usual there were visitors l'rom many neighbouring clubs. In presenting the trophies at the conclusion of pllay, the president, Mrs Buddie, expressed the club's pleasure at the 'number of visitors and hoped that they had enjoyed the day's golf. Mrs Rendall, Te Puke, responded for the visitors. A vote of thanks was passfed to Mr fL Stubbs for his assistance, particularly AA r ith the cards. Play resulted:— Morning Medal: A, Mrs King (Mokorua) 94 —16 —78; B, Mrs Mulholland (Mokorua) 98—23 —75; G, Mrs E.ggers .117. Afternoon Bogey: A, Mrs Carter (Opotiki) all square; B, Mrs Upton (Opotiki) 1 down; C,, The best card in the G Medal round Avas returned by Mrs Eiggers, 112, but as any one player may Avin only one trophy, Mrs Perry, A\ r ith the next best card, Avas declared the Avinner.
