SUCCESSFUL DANCE

R.S.A. FUNCTION A most successful dance was held by the Whakatane Returned Soldiers' Association at the Otakiri Hall on Thursday. The working committee under the direction of Mr J. Bryant had the floor in perfect order, and the hall nicely decorated with streamers. The supper was in the capable hands of Mrs Cobden with a band of lady workers who looked after the needs of the patrons, numbering well over two hundred. The music was supplied by Mrs K. Armstrong's orchestra, and Mrs J. Tickner played the extras. The evening was enjoyed by all the patrons to the full. Miss Verna Head entertained the company with a Waltz Tap Dance.
