Effect of Less Petrol.
An official of the Wanganui Wrestling Association stated recently that the takings at wrestling matches had fall-en by about £30 a match because of restrictions on the use of petrol. He said that carefu\ check of the bookings had shown that country patrons of wrestling had contributed round about £30 each time there was a bout staged in Wanganui. The two recent bouts had received very little patronage from the country, and when regular country patrons were asked why, they said that there was not sufficient petrol available to allow them to come to the wrestling, much as they felt inclined to do so.
