Depth charges followed, but failed to find their mark. The Sealion came to the surface at night and effected repairs, though it was only possible for two or three men to work at a time, while swinging geai threatened; to sweep them into a heavy sea. The Sealion returned home without its periscope. Earlier in the patrol the Sealion sank an enemy supply ship.
