NINE POINTS FOR PEACE
HITLER'S ALLEGED OFFER The Chicago Tribune's correspondent in Berlin gives' a list of German peace terms reported to have been handed to King Gustav of Sweden for transmission to Britain. It is officially stated in London that the British Goverument has not received any such terms. The Tribune's correspondent says that the points of the plan are:— (1) The British Empire to stay out of Europe. (2) The Cameroons and former German East Africa to be returned to Germany, former German Southwest Africa to remain in the Union of South Africa. (.'0 The Belgian Congo to go to Germany. (4) Germany - guarantees the British Empire protection for its colonies against the "Yellow Peril." (5) Norway to remain a German province, (G) Belgium to become a German protectorate under ex-King Leopold. (7) Germany to keep occupied France with the exception of Paris. (8) The Netherlands to be a protectorate with no change in the Netherlands colonial empire. (9) Italy to have a free hand in the affair of Spain and Greece under German supervision, and Italy to have all the Adriatic coast.
