| PUBLIC NOTICES COUNTY OF WHAKATANE EMERGENCY PRECAUTIONS SCHEME Volunteers are required in connection with this Council's, Emergency Precautions Scheme. At this stage it is difficult to indicate definitely the number of volunteers required, but present indications are that militia volunteers to the number of 800 are necessary and that in respect of the emergency scheme operations in the departments of'"transport, law and order, traffic, patrols, communications, supplies, supply pickets, nursing and accommodation, 300 volunteers are required. Enrolment forms , may be obtained from Riding -Councillors or from the County office. Also, from Riding Councillors and from the County Office may be obtained information and full particulars as to the Council's emergency precautions scheme. J. L. BURNETT,, Chairman.
