This enthusiastic gathering spent a very enjoyable evening with a pro gramme of songs, monologiTes Etndi ; speeches, many of the memibers expressing regrst at the lack of social life among Catholics of this district in the past, and' strongly appealing to the committee to organise- suitable functions whereby this need could be met in the future; Valuable suggesftions ; were noted by the secretary;

The gathering concluded, with a tone of hopeful enthusiasm.
