THE WORK COMPLETED NOTIFYING CHANGE OF ARDRESS Although the Register of the First Division of the General Reserve created under the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940 has rioAA r been compiled, its maintenance is a task the magnitude of "which AA'ould probbaly be scarcely realised by the general public. It must be added to, as men attain the necessary age, it must be subtracted from for a like reason and on account of the death or enlistment of reservists, and other miscellaneous amendments are continually becoming necessary/ By far the most numerous and one of the most important of these amendments is the keeping up-tto-date in regard to the residential addresses of reservists. Any reservist of the First Division Avho has changed his place of abode betAveen the time when he registered and the present time is required by the Regulations to at once notify his present address, by registered letter, to the Director of National Service, Wellington, and any such reservist who subsequently changes his address must send i similar notification Avithin seven days of the change. Heavy penalties are provided foi any afilure in this respect. Forms for the purpose (officially ltnoAvn as N. 5,9) are obtainable at all post offices.
