YOUNG MAORI SENTENCED APPEARANCE AT I'ANEATUA Appearing before Messrs J. Moody, and A. F. McGougan, Justices of the Peace, at Taneatua, Hon Tamati Cairns, aged 10, pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing the sum of £5, the property of Thomas Hunt. Constable O. S. Rice prosecuted. Cairns wa ; s convicted and sentenced to one month's imprisonment ih the Whakatane Police Gaol and was ordered to refund the full amotint stolen.
