The backs on the Avhole Avere outclassed, being compelled to defend for thp most part and seeing little of the ball from the scrums. Mr F. Wcderell Avas referee and he amde a point of explaining his rulings as each infringement occurred. This Avas appreciated by the players and should do much to improve the game here.
