The B team forAvards played Avell in the loose, although beaten in the scrums and linecuts. The backs on the Avhole Avere outclassed, being compelled to defend for thp most part and seeing little of the ball from the scrums. Mr F. Wcderell Avas referee and he amde a point of explaining his rulings as each infringement occurred. This Avas appreciated by the players and should do much to improve the game here. Tries for the Avinners Avere notched py Old (2). Thompson, Riddle ! and Moore, Wells two ; and Thompson one, Robson and Jackson scored for the i B's, Oswald converting both. l
