congratulated the troop on its efficiency. His' advice to the patrol leaders was to cultivate initiative and leadership. On the call oT the local scoutmaster three cheers were given the Com inissioner, after which the gathering enjoyed a light supper, supplied by the ladies.
RECEPTION FROM SCOUTS The Dominion Commissioner, was given a rousing reception by the Scout Troop and Cub pack in the Parish Hall, when with District Com missioner F. C. Christian of Tauranga, he was met by a combined gathering of parents and others interested in the movement. Under Scoutmaster C. P. Lucas, and his assistant Vic Allen, the boj r s went through their paces, while the Cubs gave a particularly pleasing display. Commissioner Cooksey introduced five new" 4 games which were enthusiastically adopted, and in a bright and entraining speech, (Continued foo» •>>; column)
