. MR W. McCONNELLIS HERD) AVERAGE PER HEAD £10 10^ Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd. report having held a most successful clearing sale on account of Mr W. McConnell, Waimana. The herd came forward in good coil dition and elicitcd keen and spirited bidding from a large bfench of buyers. Prices realised were as follows:—■ Good conditioned forward cows £13 lOs-to £18; later calvers makiiig < from £10 10s to £13; others from, £7 10s to £10 ss. A lrne of 15 yearling heifers sold at £4 4s, good service bulls ranging from £9 15s to £12 10s. The herd of 103 head averaged £10 10s. Stock auctioned at this sale for the Sick and Wounded Fund realised £17 13s.
