It was suggested to Mr Gade that in lieu of rent lie would be decorated with the Albanian Order of Skanderbeg. Mr Gade just wanted his rent. He •was then presented with an autographed photograph of ex-Queen Geraldine. Mr Gade still wanted Iris rent. The King then forwarded a handsome knick-knack, which lie said had been a personal gift from Tsar Nicholas of all the Russians. Mr Gade had tlie present traced ot a curiosity shop on the Rue St. Honore, where it had been purchased for I4s Gd. At this point King Zog paid the rent. Finally, Mr Gade, having ungraciously refused to renew the lease, . nvas looking for a new tenant. Reason: The rent would not cover the cost of necessary repairs to the chateau.
