FANCY DRESS BALL
SUCCESSFUL EVENING AT THORNTON A very successful fancy -dress ball was held at Thornton on Saturday night in aid of the School Funds. Organised by Mr Parker, headmaster, and Miss Mac Donald, the ball drew a good attendance of children and parents. . Prizes were awarded for best boy's costume, best girl's costume, most humorous dress, most original chess and for the best costume in the room. The latter was open to both children and adults.
