WAIMANA NOTE?

BASKETBALL CLOT'S function (Own Correspondent) The Waimana Basketball Club held a most successful dance in the Waimana Hall on Monday evening. The musi6 was supplied by Mr R. Parkes and Mr Ross, of Opatiki. and extras were played by Mr A. Wardlaw and Mr M. Burke. Mr R. Morton was in charge of the floor. A competition held during the evening was won by Mr W. White.. The confetti and other novelty dances were much enjoyed. The Lucky Gay Gordons danee was won by Miss Wagge and Mr Noel Menges. The Monte Carlo waltzes wercs won by Mrs Dick Wardlaw and( Mr J; Rust and Miss Wragge and Mr Gallagher. After a dainty supper had been served by the ladies, Mr Morton on behalf of the Basketball Club, thank ed all for their attendance and generous support, which was much appreciated. Dancing continued' until, a late hour. Among those present were: Mesdames W. Addison, K. Bell, King, H. Bell, Rust, Dick Ward law, J.. Wardlaw, Mannion, Hughes, J. Boynton, Croft, I. Savage, W.
