MEETING OF DAIRY COMPANIES' REPRESENTATIVES ADDRESS BY DAIRY BOARD EXECUTIVE Following the earlier meeting of farmers, the directors of the Opotiki,,, Waiman,a, Opouriao and Rangitaiki Dairy Companies met in the County Chambers on Friday afternoon. The purpose was to hear tentative suggestions concerning how best the companies could assist in the Government's appeal for increased production* particularly of cheese. Addresses were given by Messrs W. E. Hale,, chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Board, and Mr A. J. Murdoch, ward member of the Dairy Board. A comprehensive discussion followed, a lull report of which will appear in Wednesday's issue, and at the conclusion of the meeting conferences were held between the di ret?tors of the Opotiki and Waimana Dairy Companies, and between those of the Opouriao and Rangitaiki Companies.
