STILL THEY COME

' The publication last Monday of a further twenty volunteers for active service from this district indicates that the response has not slackened. Young men from every walk of Mfe ha,ve answered, the call and though their absence is keenly felt in business, social and athletic quarters yet they afford us an example of which we may well be proud. Many of the town's institutions are to-day at less than half strength but they are gamely 'carrying on' and functioning so that the boys overseas will be able to take up their , old interests when they return. It will be interesting to note the total number of volunteers from this district when that type of enlistment has ceased.
