PRICES AT TE PUKE HEIFERS IN DEMAND The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency report having held a very successful clearing sale of high grade Friesians on account osf Messrs Heatherington Bros. The cows came forward in good condition and elicited a keen bidding. Best young cows made to £17. The in-calf heifers' were a nice lot and the demand was keen. The best making to £13 10s with yearlings fro £5 19s. We quote:— Young cows and early calvers £14 15s to £17; later calvers £11 to £13 15s; aged cows £8 to £10 ss; best springing heifers £11 15s to £13 ss; smaller £8 15s to £10 ss; well-grown yearling heifers £5 14s to £5 smaller to £3 7s 6d; well-bred yearling bulls £8 tt> £9 ss.
