JUNIORS In the early stages of this matcli play was fast and hard. The Tc Teko forwards, led by J. Ngalieu took the ball into the Otakiri *2i; where it Avas picked up by J. Paul who scored. Solomon's kick at goa l failed. Te Teko forwards again carried play to the half»way where the Te Teko backs got possession and f. good passing movement resulted in S. Savage scoring well out. Tari'i kick missed. Te Teko 6, Otakiri 0 which was the score at the interval, On resuming the play was spirited, Avith the Otakiri forwards penning Tc Teko in their 25 and an infringement gave Otakiri a free kick in a handy position but K. Charley missed. Hard forward play followed and from a loose scrum near Otakiri's line B. EdAvard secured and scored Te Teko third try. There was no conversion. Otakiri made a strenuous effort to reduce the leal but their forAvards, well led by B. Green, could not penetrate the Te Teko defence. Good line kicking b} r Iv. Ngaheu played a fine game both in the tight and loose. This plaj'er should catch the eye of the selectors. S. Edwards also played Avell. In the Te Teko back line J. Rutene Avas sound and Gr. GoodAvin at second five-eighths was fair. It was his first game of the season. For Otakiri in the forAvards T>. Green, Cobden and Lambert impressed. In the back line K. Charley, playing centre, Avas dangerous, rhis player should go Avell Avith |ood inside backs to give him supjort. He has speed to burn and has i good fend.
