SATURDAY'S PROCESSION
CHILDREN IN THE PARADE
Children always have had and always will have a love of fancy •dress. They revel in 'dressing up,' partly because it gives them an opportunity for a brief while, of living in another and adult workl. Saturday's procession saw a wide range of character adoptions and a -glance through the list shows that "Rajahs' and 'Clowns* Avere the favourite roles with the boys, while 'Irish Colleens' were most popular among the variety of costumes and rmake-ups adopted by the girls. LADIES' EFFORTS (CONTRIBUTION TO SUCCESS OF SHOW ASSISTANCE FREELY GIVEN One of the outstanding features •of the Winter Show was the assistance given and enthusiasm displayed by the Ladies' Committee. This- • committee Avas responsible for the catering in the tea rooms and also controlled the SAA r ect stall--and AA r a-« one of the principal factors in making the children's competitions and •concert such a success. For many years the laldies have freely given their assistance and the Slioav Association, the town and district, are greatly indebted to •them.
