HALF YEARLY INSTALLATION CEREMONY AT EDGECUMBE The half yearly installation of officers of the Edgecumbe branch of the United Ancient Order of Druids was held recently in the new Edg3cumbe Hall. Visitors from Rotorua and Te Puke lodges were preseut and there was a large attendance of local branch members. The fol« lowing were installed in office for the current term: — Junior Past Arch, P.A. Bro F. W. Snelling; Arch Druid, Bro H. Neal; Vice Arch, Bro Melville; Inner Guardian, Sister Neal; Outer Guardian, Sister Pritchard; Arch Druids Bards, Sister Taylor and P.A. Lista Snelling; Vice Arch Bards, P.A. Bro Gattche and P.A. Bro Osborne; Master of Ceremonies, P.A. Bro F. Villis. ™ Sister Harris, District President, performed the ceremony with impressive dignity and addressed appropriate speeches to the new officers. P.A. Bro W. Osborne was then invested with a P.A. collar and presented with a framed diploma. All made short speeches of thanks. The honours of the order were accorded to the visitors ?),nrt Sister Harris was complimented on her exceptionally fine delivery of the ritual. A further pleasing incident war; the presentation to Bro and Sister S. Wallace of an electric iron as a wedding gift from lodge member?.
