CONCRETE WHARF RECON-

STRUCTION

Good progress continues to be

made in the concrete wharf re corn struction. All piles in the 112 foot section have been driven and the Malings and braces have been run.

The main girders will be cast in about two weeks time, said the Consulting Engineer. Mr C. H. Brebner, in his report to the Wliakatane Harbour Board on Friday, and all concreting on this section should be completed in about five weeks.

Eight piles have been driven in the 96 l'bot section and this work will be carried out in conjunction with the first part. Satisfactory driving has been met with throughout. Weather and other circumstances being favourable the work should be completed by the end of October. >&V
