Ltd., Manchester, accomplished their task of treating cotton, rayotj and linen materials to give to tliem the resilient projjerties of wool or I silk inasmuch as they resisted and | recovered from creases, their attention has been directed to the coni trol of the shrinking or felting projperties of wool. I fn this connection Messrs TootaJ | Broadhurst Lee Co. Ltd., have ac- | quired an invention which they are satisfied really does solve the problem. Coming at a tim*c when a nuni : her of synthetic fibres are being introduced as substitutes for wool this invention will be of great importance to the wool producers of New Zealand and other countries. The manufacturers believe that if the process of the invention is properly carried out it can produce complete unshrinkability whilst the wool retains its natural desirable properties and there is no appreciable removal of t lie protective scales*. The new process for the first time allows wool in all its variou* forms', lops, jam, fabric and garments to be unshrinkable withou* 'my appreciable loss of its ong ; nnl j qualities of softness and ru a')Liiy '
