HOBBY CLUB

METHOD OF ASSISTING "EVERY MICKLE MAKES A IvIUCKLEJ" Numerous patrons of the Reel Cross Societ3 r 's Strand shop, anxious to donate articles and not know ing exactly what to give, have suggested that a black-board be placcd outside the slvop setting out a comprehensive list of articles required. This suggestion has been followed. By constantly altering this list as demand necessitates, a varied asIsortment would always be available for sale. "Of course if you have nothing on the list to contribute, please con tinue to bring in your usual liberal offering," say the Red Cross Society. "Always remember, that no matter how small your contribution may lie it is ever welcome. "Every mickle makes a muckle."

In addition, to further the proceeds of the Red Cross funds at our shop, a "Hobby Club" is in the process of being formed among the men members of the district. The underlying idea being that each member, in his spare time, can make and contribute to the shop the fruits of his hobbies. This wou&l result in a very wide variety of articles (preferably not sold in the shops) and consequently would pro duce much needed extra revenue. For Valuable Cash. "Although the 'Hobby Club' has been originated by the men in the endeavour to assist the ladies in stocking their shop, the help of any lady or young persons able to add to the 'Hobby Stock' would be greatly appreciated. "We do not ask you to spend money in the manufacture of these articles, our slogan being "Give aAvay a lot that costs you nothing" for what you make in your spare' time that costs you nothing will be sold by the Red Cross Shop for valuable cash. "As to particulars of this 'Hobby Club,' those desirous of becoming members (it costs you nothing to join) are asked to see Mr A. C. King who will give you all information."
