WINTER SHOW PROCESSION
Special efforts this year are being made by a committee set up for the purpose to ensure that the forthcoming procession in connection with the Winter Show will be something worth coming to see. The Association is fa,cing one of the greatest handoaps in its existence but by d-eciding to carry on, has earned the gratitude of all who are interested in the progress of Whakatane. Without however, the co-op-eration. of the townspeople; this important feature will lag behind the general standard. It is up to the citizens therefore to enter decorated vehicles, poster and trade displays, humorous vehicular skits, and novelties and thus help in a small way towards maintaining on the home front a brighter, happier note in the face of war depression. Already many entries have been received,, but more and still more, are Can you help the Show?
