PUBLIC NOTICE PUBLIC NOTICE WHAKATANE DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL COMMITTEE : Owing to the widespread publicity given to certain statements in connection with the War alleged to have been made by a teacher to his class in the Whakatane D.H. School, the Committee of the said school has had an enquiry made. The Committee wishes to notify the public that, according to the evidence received, it is convinced that no statements of an unpatriotic or undesirable nature were ma.de by the teacher concerned. The Committee would also like to add that this teacher is a New Zealander born of New Zealand parents. The Headmaster conducted an independent enquiry and he concur? in the finding of the Committee.
