LOOKING AHEAD
AN EDUCATIONALIST'S HOPE Sir Cyril Norwood, president of the Central Advisory Committee of Allied Schools, speaking at Harrogate College, said: "I have dreamed of the time, which must be far distant, when every boy and girl irt this country will receive:— "An elementary education until they are 11%. "A continued education, such as secondary, until they are 16. "A part-time education, under discipline and control, until they are 18, finishing with six months' national service, which, I hope, in the near future, will not be military.. 1 "If we are ready enough and wise enough to bring up our young people like that in the next 20 yearsi. \ve will create such a nation as has never yet been seen."
