There are many sportsmen in tliis district who will be pleased to witness the performance of the Canterbury entrant, Streamline, at the Waikato and Auckland fixtures,, as lie is one of tlie few Day Comet representatives now racing. Bred by . the late Sir Charles Clifford, he is a handsome and commanding type of thoroughbred, and has fine credentials as a cross-country Tiorse. In North Canterbury there, is another Da} 1 " Comet horse, Scarlct Rambler, owned by Major Hutton, that lias followed the hounds in the past two seasons, which will enter the steeplechase lists in the com'ng winter.
