MISSION CONFERERENCE
MAORI DELEGATES AT OHOPE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH WORKERS The Armual Conference of the Presbyterian Church Maori Mission staff and' members and adherents, was held at Ohope Beach in the Bible Class building's- from May 6 to May 13. There were over 100 present . The conference was held for the purpose of spiritual impetus and consideration of future work. Guests at the conference and chief speakers were: The Very Rev. George Budd and the Rev. J. M. McKenzi'e, assistant Director of Presbyterian Missions at home and abroad. Two separate services were held each morning, in Maori and English, for Maoris and Maori Mission workers, respectively. The afternoons were devoted to business and discussion of the immediate problems of the work. In the evenings combined Evangelistic services in both languages were held. There were special children's services, in the morning, and sports for children and young people in the afternoons, when conditions were favourable. The catering, which was of a very high order, was in the capable hands of Sister May and her willing staff. A successful camp concert was held on Saturday evening and conference closed on Sunday evening with a most inspiring service. Delegates who attended this conference came from Nuhaka, Whakaki, Waikaremoana, Mahngapohatu. Ruatahuna, Te Whaiti, W&iohau. Kawerau, Te Teko, Matahi, Waimana, Opotiki, Reporoa, Taupo, Tokaahu, Taumarunui.
