OPOTIKI SALE Messrs Dalgety and Go. Ltd. report having held their usual fort— nightly pig sale, when a small average yarding came forward. Therewas a representative attendance of buyers including the usual exportbuyers and bacon curers operating. A few heavy liaconers were yarded* and for these competition was exceptionally keen at fully late rates. Medium baconers comprised larger numbers, for which competition was: keen at fully last sale rates. Porkers,and stores met with exceedingly keen competition at slightly in advance of the last fixture. Slips"j?ncl weaners were also subject to keencompetition. Quotations:— Heavy, baconers £3 18s to £4 Is; medium £3 5s to £3 15s; light £2 15 sto £3; heavy porkers £2 ss. to £2 12s 6'd; stores £2 to £2 10s; slips £1 lOff to £1 16s; weaners 15s to 17s 6d; inferior sorts 12s 6d; choppers, ium heavy £3 to £3 10s; light £]2 to£2 10s. > L /"
