ANOTHER MAORI CONVICTEI> THEFT OF A SADDLE Tata Tihi was convicted and sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment when he appeared before Messrs Moody and Hnyward, J.P's at Tsyis eatua yesterday and pleaded guiltv to the theft of a saddle, valued at £5, the property of Owen Prince. Constable O. S. Rice said that the theft had been made on February 26th, when accused entered a shed on the property of Owen Prince of Opouriao, and took the" .saddleConstable Rice said he had mafle investigations and had arrested Titii at 11 p.m. on Monday. The sentence will be served, at? Whakatane.
