WOMENS' INSTITUTE

OTAKIRI BRANCH The April meeting of the Otakfri Women's Institute was held at )Mrs Tickner's residence. There was .1 good attendance of members and the usual business was transacted. Mrs Tickner and Mrs Martin were chosen as delegates to attend the annual Council meeting to be held in Opotiki. Winners of the Best Flower competition were-: Mrs Tickner 1, Mrs Hampton 2, Mrs Tickner 3. Bowl of Berries for effect: Mrs Lord 1, Miss I. Murray 2, Mrs Tickner 3. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses Mrs Lord and Mrs Macltrell. The singing of the National Anthem brought a pleasant, afternoon to a close.
