WHAT OF THE AERODROME?

. Aviation and its importance to Whakatane in the future, should be a matter brought to the notice of the Minister of Public Works, Hon. R. Semple, when he visits this restrict in three weeks time. Though it is patent to all who follow the policy of the Government, that no new aerodrome wy\ be authorised until the war is over, the original proposal for Whakatane 'is highly important, and should not be overlooked, even when there are no immediate prospects. It would be interesting to have the comments of the Minister upon the project, which from a civic and commercial viewpoint should never be allowed to drop.
