OPOTIKI BRANCH ANNUAL MEETING I here was an average attendance at the annual meeting of the Opotiki R.S.A, held in the Wattle Tearooms on Saturday night. The chair was occupied by Mr E. J. Baigenjt; president. Mr Irwin of the Blenheim R.S.A. Avas present by invitation. The minutes' of the previous meet;-» ing were read and confirmed. The motion was carried unanimously., Apologies for absence were received from Messrs T. H. Pearson, R. Looney and E. A. Bunkall. Those present stood in silence for a fewt moments as a mark of respecti t'o comrades who had passed on dur-> ing the year. The chairman presented his annual report and this, with the balance sheet, was adopted. Tlie funds of the association w r ere shown to be in a fairly sound position.' The secretary, Mr A. N". Davies, stated that the- sale of poppies would establish a record when the final returns were in. Election of Officers. The election of officers resulted: President: Mr E. J. Baigent (reelected) . Vice-presidents-: Messrs J. Mansell and C. Morris. Committee: Rev A. C. Messrs M. Stevenson, W. Frew, H., G. Reeves, P. Abbot, S. Williams, T. H. Pearson, A. Saunders, A. M* Davies,, A.
