RED CROSS DUTIES
Sir*—Re above, it seems to me those who cannot give personal service to help win the war might do worse than act on the same system as the Maoris are doing for Maori contingent that is, make a regular contribution to the Red Cross Funds. The Territorials are giving regular personal service and why should not those left behind give regularly say 6d, Is or more a week A central receiving depot could be arranged in each district and it can be made a question of being left to the honour of each to keep up. Much more satisfactory than spasmodic giving. It could be called The Red Cross Voluntary Honour Fund. Some are lending money for the duration fcf the war but if we cannot do that,, we can surely make a small regular contribution on a vokmtary basis to the Red Cross Funds as long as the War lasts. Yours etc., WILLING
