AUTUMN WEDDING

T AY 1 -OR —SHEATH ER A very pretty wedding took place on Easter Monday at St. George's Anglican Church. Whakatane, between Daphne, daughter of Mr and Mrs li. Sheatlier, of Centennial Park, Whakatane,, and Mr C. W. Taylor, Tolaga Bay. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a beautiful frock of magnolia Mousellaine de soie. The bodice., which was fashioned with a V shaped neckline and long sleeves, was moulded to the waistline where the skirt was pintucked, falling in grace ful folds to form a train. The long tulle veil Avas held in place by a coronet of orchids. She carried a shower bouquet of white asters, roses, mandevillia, begonias, and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Ivy Walsh, cousin of the bride, who wore a frock of pale lemon georgette and carried a bouquet of apricot and lemon dahlias to tone and wore a headdress of lemon flowers. The little flower girl, Miss Doris Quayle, wore a long full frock of lemon georgette and carried a bouquet of autumn leaves and scarlet berries. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Peter Sheather as best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Whakatane Hotel. Mrs Sheatlier received her guests in a navy blue tailored costume, with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of scarlet and gold dahlias to tone. The bridegroom's mother, Mrs C. W. Taylor, wore a navy and white ensemble with white accessories and carried a bouquet of roses, carnations and sweet peas in clover shades. The happy pair left by car to travel North, the bride wearing a grey frock with a wine coloured toque, accessories and furs.
