BUSINESS INTERESTS

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MEETING TO BE CALLED Since the appearance of our leader on the above subject Ave have been informed by the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr R. W. Seholicld, that it had been his intention to call) a meeting earlier in the year. Owing, however, to the indisposition of the secretary this had not been possible but the meeting will be called just as soon as the secretary is fit to do so.. The existence of the Chamber of Commerce and the valuable work such a body is capable of pursuing is fully appreciated by Mr Schofield, who. however,, maintains that its success can only be achieved by co-operation and a genuine endeavour by the businessmen to work in the interests oJ the town.
