ATHLETIC CHANGE-OVER
The cooler evenings—the nip in the morning air, serve to remind us that wnter is approaching, and that the time draws near for. preparations for Winter Athletics. It is pleasing to note the general desire of all sports bodies to carry on' in spite of the difficulties imposed on games and pastimes through lack of playing members owing to the number now in camp or or active service overseas. In sporting circles it is realised that the usual programmes will have to be curtailed to some extent. The same scale or standard will not be permissable under the circumstances. Nevertheless sport is our heritage, and is in our blood. It is impossible therefore to suppress or pass it by and even had the Rugby Union adopted a more pessimistic) attitude it is doubtful if a wunter would pass without some attempt at a Rugby competition .
