MAYOR'S MESSAGE OF SYMPATHY
In a message to the Hon. Peter Fraser, the Acting Prime Minister, the Mayor, Mr. B. S. Barry expressed the sympathy of the citizens of "Whakataji© (in the following man ner: "On behalf of the citizens of Whakatane, I desire to express the deepest regret at the passing of the Prime Minister. Kindly convey to the relatives of the deceased the sympathy of the townspeople. B. S. Bairy, Mayoi.
