Mrs W. G. Johnston* of Edgecumbe, is spending a holiday with Mrs D. Crawford, Paerata Ridge. Mr and Mrs E. Crtmswick, of Nukuhou North, are at present m % Australia on holiday. Mr and Mrs E. J. Guest leave Whakatane to-night after spending a few days with Mrs J. J. Guest* James Street. Mr E. J. Guest, who' is a corporal in the Second Echelon, is on his final leave. . Continued* leave of absence for the duration of his term of service overseas was granted the Chairiman of the Whakatane County Council, Mr J. G. Cliff-McCulloch, at yesterday's meeting. >■'
