REVIVAL OF PAENGAROA-TE PUKE CLUB MEETINGS CGteM ITTKMS ELECTED i After a lapse of two years the - Paeugnroa-Te Puke Racing Club de- , eided to recommence operations at iis annual meeting held last week , in the Te Puke Borough Council offices. - After the formal business of the . reading of the minutes of the last annual meeting and the perusal of the finances as displayed in the balance sheet, resolutions incorporating the elections of various committees and officers were passed as folloAVS:— Committee representing the club to complete the land transaction for the course: Messrs G. P. Spratt, W. Tanner, 11. Innes, J. T. E'cclcton and I. Vercoe. The following general officers and committees were elected:—Patron: Mr F. W. Doidge, M.P; vice-presi-dents: Messrs D. S. Xoibem T. E. ( Palmer, E. P. Harris and J. P. Mahoney . Committee: Messrs N. Grafas, A. Montgomery, V,*. Pilclier, G. Muir. L. Roberts, A. Snodgrass, J, P. Ryan M. G. Cruickshank, T. E. Palmer. E. Joyce, T. E. Other resolutions which, were passed at the meeting embodied the reduction of the membership subscription, which after discussion, it was decided to fix at 10s 6d. It was felt that the holding of a meeting soon would be to the benefit ol the flub, and a provisional date was fixed for May 11, or any suitable day later in the month. In view of the negotiations proceeding ■ between the club and the Paengaroa Agricultural and Pastoral Association, the meeting authorised Mr D. E. Neil son as the responsible officer for the signing of any transfer or discharge between the two organisations. Certain arrangements were fixed for the forthcoming meeting with the decision of the programme committee to give a total in stakes of £150, which is to be spread over six races, and also to hold two post entry juvenile events. The 'stakes for three raccs will amount to £120 each, two races £25 each, and the cup race will have £10 allocated.
