PUBLIC NOTICES PUBLIC NOTICE SOLDIERS' FAREWELL The public of Whakatane and district is cordially invited to a Civic Farewell to the soldiers of the 2nd Echelon to lie held in the Winter Show Building on Thursday evening, the 21st March. The parade of Returned Soldiers, headed by the Caledonian Pipe Band, will leave the | ati 7.30 p.m. His Worship the Mayor, B. S. Barry, Esq. and J. L. Burnett Esq. Chairman of the County Council, will farewell the soldiers after which each will be presented with a gift from citizens. Other district organisations, clubs, or social groups are specially invited to make presentations to their representatives of the Echelon at this function. For Soldiers' Farewell Committee, J. W.
