WHAKATANE AT HOME The Whalcatane Club was at home at the week-end to the Cpotiki,. Opotiki Citizens and Taneatua clubs: and play was for the Forbes Cup. The teams Avere: — Opotiki: Reeves, Dcbrcceny, Burret t. Kidd (skip). Opotiki Citizens: Jephson, Burton,, Frew, Stevens (skip). Taneatua- Hunt, Marsden, Forrest (skip). Whakatane (the holders): Haywood, King, Baxter, Caisley (skip). Taneatua, playing Citizens, worn by 26 to 20. Whakatane 20 had a* hard game with Opotiki 19. On the play off Taneatua and Whakatane had a close game, first one and then the other leading. The last head found the score even 19 all, Whukatane winning the extra head by oneand held the cup 19-20. The singles championship is now down to, 2 lifer: Norris. 1 Loane, Wilson and Hooper. , } \
