AWAKERI INTERESTS The monthly meeting of the Awakeri W.D.F.U. was held recently in the Awakeri Hall, Mrs Luxton presiding over a good attendance. A motion of sympathy was passed to Mrs Butler in her recent bereavement . A report of the Provincial meeting was' received and read by Mrs Tlaultain. The National Register received from headquarters was discussed by members. Competitions were won by the following: —Flower: Mrs N. McDonald L, Mrs J. Graham 2, Mrs Luxton 3. Pikelets: Mrs Brizzlc 1, Mrs N. McDonald 2, Mrs N. McGougan *{. Collection Vegetables: Mrs Luxton 1. Mrs N. McDonald 2, Mrs Brizzlc 3. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Maunder, N. McDonald and T. McGougan.
