DUTCH MAY NEED OWN FOOD
Holland will) soon be stopping the enormous export of food parcels to Germany, says the Amsterdam correspondent of the Daily Telegraph. It is estimated, he says, that 50, 000 parcels are sent daily and special shops have been established to handle the orders. It was found that Germans residing in Holland sent many parcels in different names for the same address. The executive of telegraphic orders from New York which are pouring in daily might cause difficulties which Holland wishes to avoid. The correspondent understands that the subject was discussed in the recent Anglo-Dutch trade negotiations. Moreover, the Dutch Government considers it to be unwise to give away food which might soon be wanted in Holland itself. The reality of this possibility 1 was stressed to Holland to-day when news arrived of the sinking of more Dutch ships.
